In Rebel Nox, the capital of Lux is in turmoil as Rebels and Loyalists struggle for control. Each round, players are secretly aligned with one of the two factions, but allegiance is never guaranteed to last. Cards change hands, information is imperfect, and trusting the wrong ally can cost everything.

The game is played across a series of contested locations, each with its own special rules that reshape how conflicts are resolved. At every location, players commit cards to a shared battle, using strength, abilities, and timing to outmaneuver the opposing side. Winning a location grants influence, bringing your team closer to seizing power.

Card play is only part of the challenge. Throughout the round, cards are exchanged between players, intentionally or through location effects. These exchanges can quietly alter team compositions, making it increasingly difficult to know who is still fighting for your cause — or whether you yourself might benefit from changing sides.

Success in Rebel Nox requires reading the table, managing your hand with precision, and choosing when to commit fully or hold back. Tactical positioning, bluffing, and controlled information matter as much as raw card strength.

A round ends once all location conflicts have been resolved. Each team totals the influence they gained from the locations they controlled, along with any additional influence provided by followers and card effects. If one team has managed to gather a required number of followers, they win the game. If not, another round must be played.
