In Paletto, players in compliance of some easy rules remove stones in different colours from a 6x6 square grid board. There are 6 pieces of each of 6 color. All 36 playing pieces are placed on the gameboard such that same-colored pieces do not touch horizontally or vertically.
The game is won by the player who either takes all 6 pieces of any color or whoever takes the last piece from the board.
By turn, the players remove stones. Only stones with at least two vacant sides can be removed, and all remaining stones must still be orthogonally connected.
Paletto is a derivative of Keks by the same designer.
