Try to name a word which begins with the letter A and with B and then with C - so on through to Z. That won't be too difficult! But when the word you name has also to belong to a particular group or type of thing, the whole thing becomes much more tricky!
A word game. On a board with 20 letters from A to Z, the players try to move to the last letter by finding words. The players get cards with a generic term and have to think of a word, which falls under this term. In the beginning the players start with the letter A. They have 30 seconds of time. If they cannot come up with a letter the card goes to the next player on the left, who now has to think of a proper word. If the player finds a suitable word, he moves to the next letter. As soon as one player reaches the letter Z the game ends.
A fun language skills game for Ages 7 - 12.
