The Turbulent 60's and The End Game, take Bruce Costello's popular simulation of the Cold War turning hot, Warplan Dropshot from the 50's to the 60's and 70's-90's.
Dropshot II: The Turbulent 60's scenarios: In the "Berlin, 1961" World War III starts at the Berlin Wall. In "The Cuban Missile Crisis, 1962" what almost happened happens. In "The Six Day War," an accident in the Mediterranean sparks the big one in 1967. In The Czechoslovakian Crisis, 1968" Soviet and NATO clashes escalate into total war. "Border War in the Far East, 1969" has the US getting involved in a nuclear war between China and Russia.
Dropshot III: The End Game scenarios: In "Middle East, 1973" the US and the Soviet Union get too involved with the Yom Kippur War. In "1976 - Bolt from the Blue" Kremlin hardliners opt for a preemptive war while everyone is taking détente. "December Surprise - Iran, 1979" has President Carter invading Iran and the Soviets having to react. In "Solidarity - Poland, 1981" the labor movement is crushed and the West reacts. In "Deep Paranoia" a NATO exercise pushes the Soviets too far. "Hardliners Last Gasp, 1987" supposes an alternative end to the Cold War.
