Sai Gon 75 is a swift, highly focused strategic wargame that recreates the final phase of the Vietnam War, from summer 1973 to spring 1975. Players take command of either the North Vietnamese Army or the South Vietnamese forces in a tense, asymmetric struggle centered on one ultimate objective: Saigon.
Each turn is driven by tight positioning, limited actions, and event cards that inject uncertainty, historical flavor, and replayability. North Vietnamese divisions emphasize steady pressure and coordinated advances, while South Vietnamese Rangers, Marines, Paratroopers, and air power offer mobility, counterattacks, and last-ditch defense. Desertion and shifting momentum ensure that no position ever feels completely secure.
The game is deliberately compact: a small map, streamlined rules, and constant decision-making keep tension high from the opening move to the final turn. Every action matters, as even a brief lapse can open the path to Saigon.
End Game & Victory Conditions
The game can end abruptly if the North player controls Saigon at the end of any turn, immediately securing victory. Otherwise, the South player wins by successfully defending Saigon through the end of Turn 8.
