• Dirk Henn and Queen Games have been paired together for forever, it seems, and 2014 sees a new release from the pair of them: Neptun, with players needing to fulfill their contracts in a particular order in order not to be claimed by an angry sea god.
• Cubo, from the design team of Johannes Berger and Julien Gupta (the son of Queen Games owner Rajive Gupta), is a quick-playing dice game that was one of many dice games on hand at Spiel 2014. Amazing how it's possible to keep putting new spins on pipped dice...
• Queen Games' head developer Frank Thyben is the designer behind the competitive tower defense, deck-building game Orcs Orcs Orcs.
• Kristian Amundsen Østby's Escape: The Curse of the Temple was a huge hit for Queen Games at Spiel 2012, so it's not surprising to see the same game system reborn in a new setting, this being Escape: Zombie City, which I previewed in late 2013 after trying the prototype at BGG.CON 2013.
