• Funko Games has teased a future Funkoverse Strategy Game release:
• Aaaaand the announcement above reminded me that I had tweeted news during Gen Con 2019 on the same subject matter as the item above, yet I had neglected to post about it in this space. That news: Ravensburger's next "summer blockbuster" title following Jurassic Park: Danger! in 2018 and Jaws in 2019 will be Back to the Future, with this being a co-operative dice game from Chris Leder, Ken Franklin, and Kevin Rodgers due out in Q3 2020.
• To continue with the topic of licensed games, on Dec. 1, 2019, Hasbro will release The Game of Life: The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Edition, with this title marrying The Game of Life, which debuted in its modern form in 1960, and Amazon's TV series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, which is set in 1958. I suppose that makes sense, but I'm not the customer Hasbro in mind for this game (despite liking what I saw in the first season), so my opinion doesn't really matter. As for what the game's about:
• Let's close with yet another licensed title, this one being Jenga: Fortnite, with players spinning a spinner — yes, really! — to determine how many blocks you have to stack on top of the tower and how high your character will climb. Reach the top block without knocking over the tower, and you win! Must be played while being shot at continuously by mouthy teenagers.
