• First up is The Warriors: Come Out to Play in February 2022, with this being a co-operative game in which you need to dodge rival gangs on the streets and subways of New York City and maintain your rep while trying to make it back to Coney Island to prove you've been framed for the murder of a rival gang leader. The timing of the game is controlled by the deck of cards and the life of the players, which are both limited, of course.
This game, like pretty much all others listed here, is credited to the in-house design amalgam known as Prospero Hall.
• I've already covered Jurassic World: The Legacy of Isla Nublar in a Dec. 2021 post, with this being a legacy-style co-operative game for 1-4 players in which you play through twelve adventures that cover the entirety of the Jurassic Park/World films up through Jurassic World Dominion. You unlock new characters and dinosaurs as you play, including characters created specifically for the game.
The game includes a tutorial set-up prior to the first adventure so that you can play repeatedly and get a handle on things before you start mucking about with permanent changes. You have a certain number of objectives to complete a limited number of actions to spend as you survey the island, place the genetics lab and visitor center, and so on. The game board consists of different color zones, and when you complete actions, you flip cards to activate zones, with dinosaurs in those zones doing their thing: moving, staying in place, attacking, posting nasty things about you on Twitter, etc.

Funko will launch a Kickstarter for Jurassic World: The Legacy of Isla Nublar on March 22, 2022, with fulfillment to backers scheduled for Q4 2022 and with the retail price being US$120. Why Kickstart this title out of all its releases? In a press call, Funko's Jesse Cromley told me that this is the first legacy-based IP game, so the company wants to use the Kickstarter campaign to introduce people to the legacy genre. "It's a way to engage with fans of movies," he said. "We wanted to show that this is a big game that's two years in the making, and we got it right, and here's all you need to know."
• E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial: Light Years From Home Game is yet another co-operative game, with this mid-2022 release being timed to the 40th anniversary of the film. In the game, 2-4 players take on the roles of Elliot, Gertie, Mike, or Greg as they try to find parts for E.T. to create a communication device to contact his home planet. You race around the neighborhood using ramps and shortcuts to avoid federal agents who are trying to capture E.T. To win, you must find all the parts of the device and get E.T. to the clearing when the mothership arrives to pick him up.

• The Funkoverse Strategy Game line sees two new standalone games: Funkoverse: Peter Pan, a two-player game with Peter facing off against Captain Hook, and Funkoverse: Universal Monsters, with this being a mostly black-and-white release that brings Dracula, the Invisible Man, the Bride of Frankenstein, and the Creature from the Black Lagoon into play on your table. Both titles are due out by mid-2022.
• Funko's Something Wild! line-up of integrable rummy games will see Marvel Spider-Man released in Q2 2022 and Star Wars: Boba Fett in Q4 2022.
• In Parks and Recreation Party Game, due out in Q2 2022, 3-6 players try to complete projects from the TV show. You probably need to work with your colleagues to get things done, but if you can take more credit, you'll earn sweeter rewards. The game ends when Li'l Sebastian hits the end of the movement track, and whoever has the most waffles wins.
• The Ted Lasso Party Game is co-operative, of course, with you trying to work together as a team to solve problems in each timed round, playing cards in the correct order and rolling a "football" die in the pitch — that is, the game box. If you ever get stuck, break out the biscuits, which are not in fact real biscuits, but gaming pieces, so don't try to eat them. This 2-6 player game is due out in Q3 2022.

• For the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World, Disney is hosting an 18-month(?) celebration, and for its part Funko Games is releasing the "Magic Kingdom Park Edition" of its 2020's Disney: The Haunted Mansion – Call of the Spirits Game, with this Q2 2022 release featuring different cover art and glow-in-the-dark ghosts.
• Another game release tied into that 50th anniversary celebration is Disney Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, with 2-4 players trying to collect resources each turn as they spill down the mountain. With those resources, you can upgrade your mining operation to score more points. Each round features twist-of-fate cards that mess with the environment through dangers like landslides and dynamite. This game is due out mid-2022.
• And yet another is Disney Happiest Day Game, which seems like a souvenir in a box that's designed to sell other souvenirs. In this 2-6 player game for ages 5+ due out in Q2 2022, players visit attractions, meet characters, eat snacks, collect souvenirs, and experience "magical moments" while sharing their favorite ways to spend the day at Magic Kingdom Park.

• Going back even further in time, we have Disney Return of the Headless Horseman Game, with this game for 2-4 players being based on the 1949 film The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Is that something kids even know these days? In any case, in this co-operative game due out in Q2 2022 you attempt to get Ichabod Crane through the spooky forest and home safely, with the headless horseman trying to capture you along the way.
• Finally, for now, is Disney A Goofy Movie Game, based on the 1995 film A Goofy Movie, with this mid-2022 release for 2-4 players having you join Max Goof and friends as they race across the United States, play cards to collect fun memories for their scrapbook, and try to score the best seats by the time musician Powerline hits the stage — assuming Goofy doesn't botch things up and send you on a side quest.
During the press call, a Funko rep noted that the company will have still more 2022 releases to announce around May. It just didn't want to flood the zone too much by announcing everything at once. Oh, and one more title will be announced between now and then — an extremely unexpected license that seems to fit perfectly with the brief game description I received. No details, alas, or I might be murdered by Pop! figures before then...
