PAX Prime: Hot Rod Creeps, Story Realms, Sheepland, and More...

Hi, everyone,

I had the chance to attend PAX Prime, held August 31-September 2, 2012, and capture several board game demos, which are posted below.

If you'd like to view iOS and video game-focused videos, head to iOS News for my initial video round-up. You can also view my write-ups of the experience here and here.

I apologize for some of the video quality; I was alone and it was a little tricky to do some shots. I will attempt to have more backup in the future.

Thanks,
Brad

Steve Jackson Games

While meeting with Steve Jackson Games, I was able to get demos of Castellan and Ogre Pocket (which will sell for $2.95!).

Cool Mini or Not

The demo tables were pretty slammed at this booth, but I was able get the latest news from Cool Mini or Not.

Cryptozoic Entertainment

Cryptozoic Entertainment was my first stop at the convention. While there I was able to capture walkthroughs of the DC Comics Deck-building Game and Hot Rod Creeps.

Mayfair Games

While speaking with Alex from Mayfair Games, I was able to get demos of Star Trek: Catan, Urbania, and Empire Express.

Japanime Games and Coffee Haus Games

While meeting with these guys, I was able to check out the recent Kickstarter success Kanzume Goddess as well as two interesting imports: Vanuatu and Sheepland.

Game Salute

Game Salute had a fairly large presence on the show floor at PAX. I was not able to demo every game due to limited table space and timing, but I did check out several titles, including Zpocalypse, which is currently available; Story Realms which is currently on Kickstarter; and Ruse and Scrapbots, which will be coming to Kickstarter later on.

Greater Than Games

The guys at Greater Than Games Showed off the latest and greatest from Sentinels of the Multiverse.

Burning Wheel

Luke Crane of Burning Wheel shared a little about his latest Kickstarter project, which is an imported Japanse pen-and-paper RPG.

Flying Frog Productions

Flying Frog Productions demoed its latest A Touch of Evil expansion – The Coast.
