• U.S. publisher Stronghold Games has had a good relationship with Dutch publisher White Goblin Games, and that relationship continues with the announcement of new editions of Filip Miłuński's Vampire Empire and Scott Caputo's Völuspá, both debuting at Origins, due out at stores in June 2013, and available for preorder through the Stronghold website.
Stronghold Games will also have Tobias Stapelfeldt's Time 'n' Space available for sale at Origins, with the game reaching retailers in July 2013. This game is a new implementation of Stapelfeldt's Space Dealer – with both games being developed and originally published by eggertspiele – and in the games players must use sand timers to mark most of the actions they take, forcing them to evaluate each move carefully as once you make a choice, you're locked into it for the next thirty seconds.
• In addition to having a limited quantity of Stefan Feld's Bruges on hand at Origins, Z-Man Games has posted on Facebook over the past few days that it expects to have limited quantities of Pandemic: On the Brink, Targi, Black Spy and Robinson Crusoe: Adventure on the Cursed Island.
• While Ogre Designer's Edition will not be available for sale at Origins, designer Steve Jackson will be doing his best impersonation of a chessmaster by playing up to a dozen Ogre games at once. Ogre line editor Daniel Jew will be doing the same, in addition to showing off the new edition and playtesting new Ogre scenarios. For more details on these events, check out the May 15, 2013 Daily Illuminator post on the Steve Jackson Games website.
• Arcane Wonders will debut a new expansion for Mage Wars at Origins 2013, the Conquest of Kumanjaro - Spell Tome Expansion, which will also reach retailers in June 2013. This expansion includes two new mages – a Priest of the Order of Malakai and a Beastmaster of the Johktari – along with more than one hundred new spell cards.
Arcane Wonders will also have a free foil-stamped promo card for those who visit its stand at Origins.
• Minion Games plans to have a high quality prototype of Oliver Kiley's Hegemonic available for playing in the evenings at Origins, and Minion's James Mathe is inviting gamers to sign up for playing times should you desire to check out the game prior to its July 2013 release date.
