At Gen Con 2014, Arcane Wonders also plans to release Mage Wars Battlegrounds (name not final), a modular board and scenario pack so that players can build their own arenas, use extended multiplayer rules, and compete in "Domination" mode, which Mage Wars co-designer Bryan Pope describes on the AW website.
Finally, before the end of 2014 Arcane Wonders plans to release Mage Wars: Paladin vs. Siren, another two-mage expansion set.
• To mirror the item above, in addition to the already announced Legendary: Marvel Villains and games based on The Crow (BGGN), Upper Deck Entertainment plans to release a Firefly dice game in November 2014, according to ICv2, which makes it the third publisher with a license for Firefly-based games. UD's Jason Brenner described it as a press your luck-style game that plays in fifteen minutes, with players trying to complete missions, earn money, and "make sure nothing goes wrong, and inevitably things always seem to go wrong".
• In September 2014, Bombyx will release a title from designer Frédéric Henry that plays similarly to The Builders: Middle Ages, but is a standalone game themed on antiquity with additional rules being added to the core system of the first Builders title. As for the original game, Bombyx has announced that the game will also be released in Italian, Hungarian, Korean and Polish.
• IELLO will release the Cthulhu-ish La Nuit du Grand Poulpe from Superlude Éditions in English.
• More new-ish than new is Kouji Kimura's Dragon Teeth Washer, which first appeared in 2012 and is out in a new edition from Taiwanese publisher Big Fun Games. As you might suspect from the title, you and your fellow players must wash dragon teeth, but these teeth are still in the dragons' heads. A description:
In Dragon Teeth Washer, players are brave men who must brush the teeth of dragons. They take turns brushing the teeth of these fearsome beasts, but dragons can't keep their mouths open all day. Occasionally they get tired, though, and must close their mouths. If one does and you happen to be the unlucky soul brushing that dragon's teeth, then...chomp!
