Board Game: Dungeon Busters
Diceperados from Keewoong Kim, designer of King's Pouch, is one of three releases scheduled for 2015 from Divedice/Korea Boardgames, and here's an overview of the game from the publisher.

Quote:
Diceperados is a western-themed dice game based on a deduction mechanism.

Players are notorious and sneaky villains who are watching for opportunities to steal gold or money. At the beginning of the round, choose your target building secretly, making it your identity for the round. You will get clues of an opponent's identity over multiple turns and you can use these clues to put your opponent out of the battle — or your rival will kick you out. If you survive after four turns, you have a chance to rob the bank! Welcome to a thrilling western world full of shootouts!
The other two titles coming from Divedice are Downgo Dungeon from Tomohiro Enoki — a simultaneous play game in which players collectively try to take out monsters but with only one of them being rewarded — and My Neighbor Monster from Pesu Nabeno — a quick card-playing-and-passing game in which you score by either finding or protecting the monster. I played this latter title, which has only a provisional name and artwork, four times at Spiel 2014 and it was great fun, being reminiscent of Love Letter in terms of how quickly it plays, the bluffing/deduction involved, and the communal feeling that arises over multiple rounds as players repeatedly bounce off one another. We recorded videos of these latter two titles at Spielwarenmesse 2015, so you can discover more details about them later.

Board Game: Wongamania
• I'm not familiar with any games that originate from Singapore, so let's spend a moment on Wongamania from designer Xeo Lye and Capital Gains Group. Here's an overview of the gameplay:

Quote:
Wongamania is a fast-paced modern economics card game that captures the exhilarating experience of the financial markets, bringing players through a typical economic cycle consisting of four stages: Recovery, Growth, Stagnation, and Recession. In order to win the game, players have to accumulate a certain amount of money, termed "Wonga". Players draw a basic income each turn and must rely on investments to generate extra income, by either buying low or selling high, or waiting for interest, dividends and rentals generated by the assets such as stocks, properties and bonds.

Each economic quadrant has a unique characteristic which reflects the real world. For example, it's often cheaper to buy stocks and properties during the recession or recovery stage, while the best time to sell them is during the stagnant stage. During the recession stage, players who still own stocks and properties will lose money if they are still holding to them as the cycle changes.

In the real world, economic cycles can often be unpredictable and volatile. To simulate that, Wongamania includes global cards that move the economic cycle in a different direction, just when you least expect it to happen! The global cards consist of real-life political and economic events, which help players understand more about the implications of the various geopolitical events and government policies.

To add to the spice, Wongamania has a series of incident cards that reflect some of the personal triumphs and woes that players face in their everyday lives, events such as accidents, illness, vacation, further education, and a leaky roof, which players can use to either move themselves ahead or slow down opponents through a series of deviously plotted events and accidents.

The game ends after a player accumulates three trust funds, which each cost 8 Wonga.
Board Game: Legendary Encounters: An Alien Deck Building Game
• Jason Brenner from Upper Deck Entertainment has confirmed that something from the Predator movie universe will join the Legendary Encounters universe in the middle of 2015. It's all pretty vague right now, but that's how he rolls.

• In an update on its massive Ogre Kickstarter project, Steve Jackson Games' Phil Reed mentions that Ogre: Pocket Edition is nearly out of print and floats the notion of Pocket G.E.V. — presumably a new edition of G.E.V. in an old size — appearing in late 2015 or 2016.

• I'm not sure whether the next item qualifies as a game or not as the description from Gamewright is somewhat brief, but the concept is intriguing and it's certainly game-like, so here's an overview of Sneaky Cards: Play It Forward, due out Q3 2015:

Quote:
Your mission, should you choose to accept it: Become a secret agent of joy, spreading art and intrigue to an unsuspecting public. Inside each box is an interactive scavenger hunt that will inspire creativity and reward audacity. Take a selfie with a stranger, create a collaborative doodle, become a flash mob of one. Complete each objective, then pass the card along to an unwitting accomplice, who now becomes part of the game! The fun is ever-expanding, but it all starts with you — play it forward!
While at Spielwarenmesse 2015, I ran into Gamewright's Jason Schneider and he talked about this item is some detail, mentioning that the ideal playing space for Sneaky Cards might be a school or college — specifically some type of enclosed environment where the participants can more easily spread this activity spread to others, then watch it happen.

In some ways, Sneaky Cards is akin to Jason Tagmire's Con Crud but on a much larger scale and with more variety as to what the participants will be doing. I'm curious to take pics of the cards at NY Toy Fair and find out more about what's in the box.
