• With the 2018 GAMA Trade Show getting underway in Reno, Nevada, many publishers are announcing new titles or spilling the beans on titles hinted at recently. WizKids, for example, has shared an overview of Magic: The Gathering – Heroes of Dominaria Board Game, a 2-4 player game first revealed at NY Toy Fair 2018 that will be released in a regular edition in August 2018 (MSRP $60) and a premium edition in September 2018 that contains four "exclusive pre-painted miniatures" (MSRO $80). As for what the game is, here's what we know now:

Quote:
In Magic: The Gathering – Heroes of Dominaria Board Game, players take on the role of a powerful hero as they travel to the lands of Dominaria. As the player explores the ancient lands, they need to build sites, rediscover lost artifacts, and confront the sinister Cabal in order to gain the resources needed to save the multiverse before rival heroes do.

In the game, you explore Magic's most iconic plane and experience the trials and tribulations of being a heroic force on Dominaria. Visit storied locations such as Llanowar, Urborg, and Keld. Draw mana from the world to power abilities and recruit heroes to aid in quests. Discover powerful artifacts and create leylines to draw even more mana from distant lands. Build sites to increase your bond with a location. The land of Dominaria is filled with adventure and excitement!

Renegade Game Studios has announced a deal with Saban Brands to release tabletop games based on Power Rangers — or more specifically Saban's Power Rangers. What will those games be? No idea, but we do have this flavorful paragraph from Renegade:

Quote:
Inspired by the iconic, 25-year franchise, the upcoming tabletop games will be focused on fan experiences that uphold the Power Rangers' brand core values of teamwork, inclusivity, and diversity. Featuring the globally recognized Rangers as well as well known villains, locations, and more, these games will reward super fans and also, intrigue players who have recently been introduced to the brand.
Upper Deck Entertainment has revealed that the next big expansion for Legendary: A Marvel Deck Building Game is Legendary: World War Hulk, with this 400-card set featuring the "Planet Hulk" and "World War Hulk" storylines and having a June 2018 release date.

Board Game: Big City
Franz-Benno Delonge's Big City first appeared in 1999 from German publisher Goldsieber. The city-building game has been out of print since shortly after that initial release, despite a claim by Valley Games for multiple years in the mid-2000s that it would be reprinting the title anytime now.

Now Mercury Games — which has a 10th anniversary edition of Delonge and Thomas Ewert's Container just about ready to hit the retail market — has announced that it will release a "20th Anniversary Jumbo Edition" of Big City, with the game hitting Kickstarter in Q3 2018 ahead of a Q4 2018 release date. Mercury notes that this edition will feature "brand-new artwork, new buildings, and improved trading, exchange, and city hall rules."

Board Game: Death Note: Confrontation
• In June 2018, IDW Games plans to release Death Note: Confrontation, a game based on the well-known manga series. Here's what you'll find in this two-player game:

Quote:
The mysterious killer Kira has managed to take another life. Baffled by Kira's ability to seemingly strike anyone, anywhere, Interpol have called in the legendary detective "L". Now the cat and mouse game begins: L must feed Kira specific targets in order to deduce Kira's location, and ultimately his identity. Meanwhile, Kira continues to enact his supernatural brand of homicidal justice, racing toward completing his list and disappearing without a trace.

Death Note: Confrontation is a two-player game in which one player takes on the role of L, trying to locate and capture Kira, and the other plays as Kira, punishing those he sees deserving of the ultimate penalty. Each player uses their character's specified notebook and either, as L, reveals criminal targets and to systematically locate Kira, or, as Kira, eliminates those targets in order to gain enough victory points.
