In this war, you must use diplomacy to bring honor to your clan, earn the support of the lesser clans, and cement your claim to the throne. Exert your influence and bring order out of chaos!
• In Q2 2018, Z-Man Games will release a new edition of Leo Colovini's classic hidden identity game Clans under the name Fae, with new artwork and new components. Clans was nominated for the Spiel des Jahres in 2003, losing out to Alhambra.
In the game, each player secretly represents one of the five colors of pieces, which start the game placed one per region on the game board. On a turn, you choose a region that has one or more pieces in it, then move those pieces to an adjacent region that also has pieces in it.
Once a region has all five colors in it, you can't move the pieces from this region, but you can continue moving pieces to it. When a region with pieces in it is isolated — that is, no pieces stand in adjacent regions — each color in that region scores points; if all five colors are in a region, then you remove one of each color until you don't have all five colors anymore, at which point the remaining colors score points. Once all the regions have been isolated and scored, players reveal their colors to see who has the most points and wins.

• I recorded an overview video of Antonin Boccara's Attack of the Jelly Monster from Libellud in February 2017 when the game was then called "Jelly Squad". The game now has a March 2018 (and a final name) attached to it, with the title likely debuting at the FIJ game fair in Cannes in late February 2018. An overview of the gameplay, followed by that video explanation:
To collect alien jelly, position your dice in the various city districts. Only the player with the majority (highest total dice value) will receive a reward in each district! Roll your dice and place one (and only one) die. Then re-roll your remaining dice before placing the next one. Important! Choose your dice carefully because aside from their value, dice have effects that you can apply immediately. Sounds too easy? Everybody plays at the same time! To be the best squad in each district, you have to be faster and smarter than the others!
Attack of the Jelly Monster is a chaotic tactical party game. Roll your seven dice like crazy to claim majorities, but don't play too quickly! All squads play simultaneously and a competitor might be about to steal a district from under your nose! Be cunning and use the special effects of your dice at just the right time.
