Game Previews from Spielwarenmesse 2020 I: New York Zoo, The Castles of Tuscany, Wild Space, and Enigma: Beyond Code
Board Game Publisher: Feuerland Spiele
Woo! Lincoln and Nikki have been cranking through the raw video footage that we brought back from the Spielwarenmesse 2020 trade fair, and they've now published more than a dozen edited game overview videos on our BGG Express YouTube channel.

• I've chosen a few videos to highlight in this post, starting with the next Uwe Rosenberg title from Feuerland Spiele: New York Zoo. Here's a short description ahead of the video overview:
Quote:
In New York Zoo, you are constructing an animal park. Build animal encounters, introduce new animals and raise their offspring. The game play is straight forward as you have only two turn options: Puzzle a new enclosure tile into your zoo area or gain new animals to populate your animal encounters. But be sure to time your actions well since you want your zoo to participate in as many animal breedings as possible.
Capstone Games will be co-publisher on the English-language version of this game with a planned debut in mid-2020, ideally in time for Gen Con 2020.

Board Game Publisher: alea
• I already posted a teaser about The Castles of Tuscany, a Stefan Feld design coming from alea in 2020, in late January and now here's an equally cryptic teaser video, with Ravensburger's André Maack trying to reveal as little as possible about both this design and the new edition of Puerto Rico coming from alea in 2020.

The reason for the minimalist info is that alea is run by developer Stefan Brück, and Brück is still developing both titles, so nothing is final as of yet. As such, it's best not to say anything definitive until those definites have been locked in.

Board Game: Strike
• Could Ravensburger have found a more appropriate looking demo person for Harry Potter Strike Dice Game, a new version of Strike coming in 2020? I mean, I suppose they could have sprung for Daniel Radcliffe himself, but he turned thirty in 2019, so he's hardly the scruffy tween that the world met in The Sorcerer's Stone. Also, he's probably out of line in terms of Ravensburger's game promotion budget.

Board Game Publisher: Catch Up Games
• The next game fairs BGG will cover are NY Toy Fair 2020 (which I'll attend) and FIJ 2020 in Cannes, France (which will have a livestream run by Beth, Rodney, and Lincoln).

Publishers at FIJ typically demo lots of prototypes of upcoming games, but they might also have a new game for sale, which is the case for Catch Up Games and Joachim Thôme's combo card game Wild Space. We got an early peek at this game in Nürnberg, and now you'll know what we know.

Board Game Publisher: CrowD Games
Enigma: Beyond Code was one of three titles that we previewed from Russian publisher CrowD Games, with this Sergey Pritula design being a quick-playing deduction game in which your role is secret, which means that your victory conditions are secret as well, so not only do you have to figure out which spots in the mansion you might need to visit, but you also need to decipher who other players might be to thwart their deduction efforts.
