In this video I explain how to play La Boca, from designers Inka and Markus Brand and German publisher Kosmos, with real-time examples and wild speculation as to what might be nominated for Spiel des Jahres in 2013. For those who decline to watch the video, my nominee list consists of La Boca, Escape: The Curse of the Temple, and Hanabi – three team/cooperative games, yes, but I'll boldly predict that the SdJ jury will go out of its way to spotlight this trend in gaming, and since I haven't seen anything else on the German market that's caught fire and gets people excited about playing the same game two or three times in a row, I'll go with this guess. Of course this is not speculation at all, but stone cold facts predicted before the events occur. No, really!
