Freedom Five Returns Sentinel Comics to the Game Table in 2021

Richard Launius' Defenders of the Realm debuted in 2010 from what was then Eagle Games, and this co-operative fantasy game has been well-loved over the years, with numerous hero and minion expansions providing different twists to the challenge of defending Monarch City against the encroaching forces of darkness.

In 2016, the game system was re-used in a post-apocalyptic setting with co-designer Jason Maxwell from 8th Summit for Defenders of the Last Stand, with players now defending the last haven for humanity against various warrior clans.

Now Launius is partnering with brothers Adam and Brady Sadler for a new take on the game system, one set in the Sentinels of the Multiverse universe from Greater Than Games. Here's a first taste of Freedom Five: A Sentinel Comics Board Game, which will be co-published by Arcane Wonders and GTG in 2021 following a Kickstarter funding campaign that will launch on September 8, 2020:
