• Exploration is also the theme for Isles of Terror from Martin Müller, André Schillo, and Voodoo Games, with each playing of this 1-4 player game being an adventure that can be played on its own or as part of a campaign. You can play either cooperatively or competitively as you explore islands and face all sorts of difficulties. (KS link)
• Who better to confront isles of terror than agents of mayhem? Okay, the games don't integrate with one another, but the names sure fit together like a puzzle. Agents of Mayhem: Pride of Babylon is a competitive miniatures skirmish game from Gunter Eickert and Academy Games that's played on a destructible 3D game board in a series of games that plays out as a campaign. • Ian Brody has already tackled a broad scale vision of World War II in Europe in Quartermaster General, and now he's approaching the subject matter from a different angle with SHAEF, a two-player card-driven game from Griggling Games and PSC Games that covers only the June 1944-March 1945 time period, with the Allied player needing to control two of four locations within Germany to win. • Herbalism is a streamlined deduction game from Eros Lin and Liu Xiao in which you need to swap cards with opponents or ask the right questions in order to get more information from them than you give out to everyone else as you attempt to find the herbs needed for a cure. I previewed Herbalism in detail in October 2017 ahead of the game's debut by EmperorS4 at SPIEL '17. Now Deep Water Games is bringing this title, along with three others from EmperorS4, to North America. (KS link)
• Show & Tile from Matt Loomis, Isaac Shalev, and Jellybean Games has a simple set-up: Each player takes two sets of tangram tiles and a word card, uses those tiles to make an image, then challenges other players to guess their word. (KS link)
• All Or None Games is a new publisher in Sweden, and it hopes to debut with Tobias Hall's Dicetopia, a 2-4 game in which you use worker placement, dice manipulation, and area control to complete secret objectives. (KS link)
• Todd Sanders' Pulp Detective from AVStudioGames is a 1-2 player game that uses classic pulp magazine artwork while presenting you, the detective, with a case to solve. (The case has randomized elements, so solving it once doesn't mean you're through with the game.) Should you want more, the Double Cross, Masterminds & Sidekicks expansion includes three new cases, along with other new elements. (KS link)
