Meenakshi Temple is a three-dimensional worker-placement game in which players will be gradually constructing their own hopurams — breath-taking multi-level gates into Hindu temple.

The players will use a total of 115 custom plastic Deity statues and secure the support of 5 Patron Deities (Meenakshi, Kali, Ganesha, Ganga, and Skanda) while trying to build their hopurams in the most efficient way.

On their turn, the player places their meeple on one of the available action slots and resolves the action. Their choice is based on Hindu astrology: the stronger their action is, the later they will take their turn during the next round. Each round, the stars predict different possibilities and the players will need to adapt.

There are five basic actions in the game: constructing statues, placing a slab that would close the current hopuram’s level, receiving a blessing depending on the statues on the current level, upgrading your sheet, and gaining a wild statue of Shiva.

By the end of the game, all players will have gorgeous constructions consisting of up to 6 levels high in front of them, and whoever scores the most victory points for their hopuram, secret goal and divine blessings wins!
