In KROBS, players compete to manage everyday activities while navigating invisible but dangerous microbes lurking beneath risky behavior. Each turn is a tight balance between pushing your own progress and exposing opponents to illness at the worst possible moment.
Players build columns of Activity cards, aiming to reach exactly 15 points per column. Complete a column safely and you earn a Trophy—get three and you win. But progress comes with danger: playing At Risk cards leaves columns vulnerable to microbial attacks.
On your turn, you may:
Improve your columns by playing 1–2 cards
Launch an attack by triggering diseases on exposed columns
Heal yourself to recover from illness
Then draw back up, keeping the pressure constant.
Attack cards infect any visible At Risk columns of the matching color, forcing players to draw Disease cards that can slow them down with time tokens—or eliminate them outright if the disease is deadly. While sick, a player is locked out of building and must focus on recovery, creating brutal tempo swings.
Reaching 15 with an At Risk card is especially tense: opponents get a full round to attack before you can safely claim the Trophy. Defensive tools like Supercautious cards can shield columns, but timing them correctly is critical.
End Game & Victory
The game ends immediately when a player collects their third Trophy and wins.
In two-player games (with the neutral opponent Gilbert), victory conditions tighten further—if Gilbert reaches three Trophies first, both players lose.
