WizKids Games Brings Dungeons & Dragons to Dice Masters

WizKids Games Brings Dungeons & Dragons to Dice Masters
Board Game Publisher: WizKids (I)
Can you ever have too much of a good thing? WizKids Games is going to put that old chestnut to the test with the announcement of Dungeons & Dragons Dice Masters, a new Dice Masters game from designers Mike Elliott and Eric M. Lang set in D&D's "Forgotten Realms" universe. Here's WizKids president Justin Ziran from a press release announcing this title:

Quote:
Dungeons & Dragons Dice Masters is an all new game that utilizes WizKids Games' proprietary Dice Building Game platform where players collect and assemble their "party" of adventurer dice and battle in head to head gameplay. Dice Masters has had huge initial success, is a very exciting platform, and should fit perfectly with the world and lore of Dungeons & Dragons. You can expect to see some of the most recognizable monsters and characters, such as Kobolds, Beholders, Mindflayers, Dragons, Drow, and many more!
The Dungeons & Dragons Dice Masters line will debut in Q4 2014 and consist of starter sets, booster packs, play mats, and a storage box.

If you have any interest in this item, I'd strongly suggest preordering ASAP and pushing your retail outlets to do the same. Given the shortages that it experienced with Marvel Dice Masters: Avengers vs. X-Men I'm sure that WizKids will initially order more of D&D Dice Masters than it did of that title, but production is driven by demand, especially advance word of demand and that means preorders.
