Board Game: The Witcher Adventure Game
• While we generally have a tightly packed game demonstration schedule for Spiel, with a new game demo every 10-15 minutes for roughly eight hours each day for five days, we do sometimes have an empty space where we can squeeze someone in, especially if that someone is Anton Torres from Fantasy Flight Games, who showed up at the BGG booth to talk about The Witcher Adventure Game from designer Ignacy Trzewiczek.

Board Game: Room 25: Season 2
• One familiar habit that we see with games being released at Spiel is titles being pushed to the deadline: We're working on this, we're finishing the rules, we just got the pieces finished — everything's being tweaked and tested and adjusted and readjusted with the con being a unmovable finish line. If everything doesn't come together in time, then you don't make it across the line and everyone wonders what happened to you.

Such was the case with French publisher Matagot and François Rouzé's Room 25: Season 2. I got a sneak peak at this expansion at Gen Con in August 2014, and at that time the publisher wasn't sure whether it would be ready for Spiel 2014. Then they decided to go for it, but alas, they didn't clear all of the production hurdles needed in order to finish the game in time. That said, you can now see what's coming in Dec. 2014 or Jan. 2015, depending on how the cargo ship clears its hurdles.

Board Game: Korrigans
• Arnaud Urbon, Ludovic Vialla and Matagot are a familiar trio, with the designing team being responsible for one of the publisher's debut titles in 2006 — Khronos — as well as another game the subsequent year, Utopia. For 2014, they're back with the annual Matagot big box design, the more colorful and seemingly friendly Korrigans.

Board Game: Sun Tzu
• Al Newman's two-player, area control game Sun Tzu was first released in 2005 under the name Dynasties, and it's now seeing a fourth incarnation from Matagot, which also published its second incarnation in 2010. Interesting to see game kick along like that for years: not breaking through in a huge way, yet of enough interest to enough people to stay in print one way or another.

Board Game: Armymals
• I know next to nothing about Armymals from Titan Forge Games and the design team of Kozak, Kozak, Sawka, Marciniak and Owsianny, only what I read in the game description on BGG — a game of critters in tanks and they do "pew pew pew" — a description that I edited, of course, as I edit most of the game descriptions that end up on the convention previews. Gotta get that formatting correct!

• Okay, that's post #20 of game demonstration videos from Spiel 2014, and with five videos in most posts that equals one hundred videos on BGG's YouTube channel — which unfortunately is only about half of what we shot in Essen! How is that possible?! So many videos still to be posted and we're almost a month out from the con!

My goal when I started these posts was to have all of the Spiel 2014 material posted by BGG.CON 2014 — which opens in a week, so I don't think that's going to happen. Instead I'll move the goalposts and aim to finish by the end of BGG.CON, which gives me five more days. Expect to see many more posts like these over the next ten days or so, then I'll be back to more regular "new game" posts and the like. I want to get this material visible to all of you, while also clearing out the queue and kind of getting a fresh start post-con season before we start it all again in February 2015 with coverage of Spielwarenmesse...
