The Goonies and The Elder Scrolls Head to Your Tabletop

The Goonies and The Elder Scrolls Head to Your Tabletop
• U.S. publisher Chip Theory Games has teased an upcoming title with this image, writing only "More info coming 2022":

I'm not a video game player, so I did not recognize the image as being from Bethesda's The Elder Scrolls, but the URL of a landing page on Chip Theory's website included the words "the_elder_scrolls", so I was able to figure it out. Phew!

Feel free to visit that landing page and drop your email in the box for info on this project in 2022.

• Another IP that has been transformed into a board game is of the more nostalgic variety, with U.S. publisher Funko Games reaching back to the 1980s for The Goonies: Never Say Die, a 2-5 player game from in-house design team Prospero Hall that will likely hit stores in Q3 2021.

Board Game: The Goonies: Never Say Die

Here's an overview of what you'll find inside:
Quote:
It's our time, down here.

Embark on a perilous adventure full of dangerous booby traps and treacherous treasure-filled caverns! In The Goonies: Never Say Die, one player is the Goondocks Master, controlling fearsome foes from the outlaw family, the Fratellis, to the legendary pirate, One-Eyed Willie. The other players take on the role of the Goonies — Mikey, Mouth, Chunk, Data, and Sloth — and attempt to overcome cryptic puzzles and deadly challenges with teamwork, strategy, and Data's clever contraptions! Will the Goonies discover the legendary riches that will save their homes, or will they follow the fate of Chester Copperpot...and never see the light of day?

Board Game: The Goonies: Never Say Die

The game features nine adventures so that players can immerse themselves in the 1980s movie as well as brand new stories, and it includes eight sculpted miniatures of Mikey, Mouth, Chunk, Data, Sloth, the Giant Octopus, the Fratellis, and even One-Eyed Willie himself.
