The winners of the 2018 Spiel and Kennerspiel des Jahres were announced on Monday, July 23, and Scott, Steph, Lincoln, and I talk about the games that won and why other games might not have won, while also covering a few games we've recently played and discussing what we're up to at Gen Con 2018.

A short description of the latter topic: We're broadcasting live interviews with designers and publishers from Gen Con for four days so that they can talk about games newly released at that show, as well as some games released earlier and some still to be released. We'll publish our broadcast schedule on Monday, July 30 once we address any stragglers still to be added.

Part of that schedule: We're broadcasting The BGG Show live from Gen Con 2018 on Thursday, August 2 at 5:45 CDT (GMT -5). It will be interesting to see how many of us we can fit on camera in that booth...
