• In honor of Festival International des Jeux, the annual game festival in Cannes, France — which I'm watching only from the sidelines, alas, while sharing photos from others on my Facebook page — I present another round-up of game preview videos recorded at Spielwarenmesse 2014, this time from French publisher Matagot.

First, Matagot's Yann Bartelheimer gives an overview of Lionel Borg's Metal Cards Adventures, an adaptation of Arnaud Cuidet's Metal Adventures RPG, with the board game being due out in Q1/Q2 2014. (Should you be an enterprising RPG fan, you can check out Metal Adventures on Matagot's website and submit a listing on RPGGeek to fill that hole in its database.)

Board Game: Desperados of Dice Town
• Designers Bruno Cathala and Ludovic Maublanc take a trip back to Dice Town — released in 2009 by Matagot — with Desperados of Dice Town, a dice game that features the same setting with similar artwork while being a completely different game.

Board Game: Korrigans
• The design team of Arnaud Urbon and Ludovic Vialla (Khronos, Utopia) has a new game from Matagot due out in Q4 2014: Korrigans, produced in partnership with French publisher Ilopeli.

Video Game Publisher: Matagot
Brenn from designer Christian Martinez, scheduled to be out no later than Spiel 2014, has three instant win conditions that should have players at one another's throats throughout the game.

• I didn't record previews of these titles at Spielwarenmesse, but in 2014 Matagot also plans to release Sun Tzu Dynasties, a new deluxe version of Al Newman's Dynasties, and Room 25: Saison 2, a new standalone take on an expansion for François Rouzé's Room 25 that accommodates up to eight players while adding new rooms, new powers and new objects. Finally, in a Matagot round-up from January 2014, French gaming site TricTrac mentions that a Kemet expansion is in the works, but it included no details beyond its impending existence.

Update, March 2, 2014: I can't believe that I forget Cyclades: Titans, an expansion for Cathala and Maublanc's Cyclades that brings the Titans of Greek legend into the game while allowing for team play and for up to six players to compete at once.
