Well, not really "now" seeing as I had to publish it prior to this post going live, but close enough.
The SPIEL '22 Preview currently lists just over two hundred titles, but I've heard from just over one hundred of the 700+ publishers on my mailing list, so I expect the list will swell massively in the months ahead. Stephen Cordell (Greyfedora) is once again working with me, as on the Gen Con 2022 Preview, to respond to surveys, clarify questions, and get the listings into their final form.
Note that I'm taking a broader approach than I have in years past, for example, listing some 2021 releases from tiny publishers if those publishers didn't attend SPIEL '21. I figure that SPIEL is essentially the clearinghouse for all games and all game information, so I'm using a larger net than normal when considering what to list. Better that you see something you might already know about than miss something that will be present at the fair that attracts more international gamers than any other. If you don't want to see something again, click "Not Interested" on that game listing, then use the filters to remove those items from view.
If you are a publisher or designer who will be selling or demoing new games at SPIEL '22 and your items aren't listed, please contact me — eric AT boardgamegeek.com — to request a link to the publisher survey.
Publishers and designers, while I have your attention, let me make two requests that will benefit you more than me:
• Use camelcase in your Twitter handles to improve readability. Rio Grande Games, for example, used to have @riograndegames, but it now has @RioGrandeGames, which is a nice upgrade that took less than 60 seconds to perform. Folks who use text-to-voice assistants will be especially thankful.
• Upload borderless 2D front cover images to game listings in the BGG database. The original image below had a white border that made the cover look tiny, whereas the cropped image presents the game in a more readable way. Invisible borders in .png images work the same way, making the thumbnail image look teensy, so please crop them before uploading.
