Since mid-May 2012, I've been preparing convention previews for Gen Con 2012 and Spiel 2012 along the lines of what I did for BGG's Spiel 2011 Preview: a huge list of games, alphabetized by publisher, that will debut at the convention, be newly released just ahead of the show, or available in prototype form for playtesting or preordering. For smaller publishers, with "smaller" being arbitrarily defined by me as I compile these lists, I typically include all games released by the publisher over the previous twelve months as these titles will be new to most con attendees.

If you're a designer or publisher who will show new/prototype games at one or both of these conventions, please contact me to ensure that I include your games in these preview lists. If your game isn't already included in the BGG database, please submit it to the database as the game must be listed to be included. When you contact me, please include:

-----• Game prices
-----• Release dates for when games will reach retailers (as Gone Cardboard works on those dates, not convention debut dates)
-----• Your booth number
-----• Special events like author signings
-----• Preorder details
-----• Anything else that con attendees would want to know

If you – or the designer of a game you're publishing – want to submit a designer diary for publication on BGGN, please contact me ASAP to work out the details of how to submit it and to secure a space on the calendar. (Not sure what this is about? Check out all previous designer diaries on BGGN to see what others have done.) The earlier you contact me, the better as things start getting crazy in September and my ability to do anything too involved goes out the window entirely in October. No, seriously – October is a madhouse and as Spiel approaches I start babbling like a rabid mongoose, and you know how those mongooses do go on...

Finally, if you have games to preview, please contact me to ask about this. There's no charge for a game preview, but my time and my video skills are both limited. I'd like to do more of this in the future, but of course I'd like to do more of everything in the future and the space-time continuum says otherwise.

Your best bet is to email me – wericmartin AT gmail.com – as I'm often slow to respond to Geekmail (as those who have Geekmailed me already know). I'll be at both Gen Con and Spiel to cover the events for BGGN, and I look forward to seeing you there – but I look forward even more to seeing your email in my inbox first!
