New Game Round-up: Make Gum, Solve Codes, Publish Papers, Collect Gold & Um, Collect Gold
Board Game: Gum Gum Machine
Board Game: Think Str8!
• Time for a few more announcements of games that will be shown off at the Spielwarenmesse trade show in Nürnberg, Germany, with short (very short!) descriptions of a few titles from HUCH! & friends, starting with Gum Gum Machine from Stefan Dorra and Ralf zur Linde, the design team responsible for Pergamon and Milestones. Here's all I know about this Q4 2015 release:

Quote:
Clatter, crank, click, pling! As the cogwheels start turning, the Gum Gum Machine really gets going! Who will manage to produce the best Gum Gums in Gum Gum Machine? Only if you keep the right levers and switches in mind and always find the appropriate ingredients can you win this game!
Think Str8! is a deduction game from Leo Colovini in which each player has six numbers in different colors in front of him, but the player can see only what everyone has while needing to deduce what's in front of him. We'll need more details to see how this differs from Code 777, so this is mostly a question mark for now.

HUCH! also has a number of games aimed at younger players — Sheila Shark, Tornado Ellie, Mount Pingo — about which it's hard to say anything with details this scant as well as German editions of games previously released in other countries: Kolejka, Wakanda, Longhorn, Flash!

Board Game: Drakon (Fourth Edition)
Board Game: Saboteur: The Duel
Fantasy Flight Games has announced a new edition of Tom Jolly's Drakon for release in Q2 2015, the fourth edition if you can believe that, with each of those editions having a separate entry in the BGG database. What's up with that? The heart of the game remains the same as the previous one: Travel through a dungeon to be the first adventurer to collect ten gold or else you'll end up as a dragon's breakfast.

• At the end of 2014, Dutch publisher 999 Games released Saboteur: Het Duel, and designer Fréderic Moyersoen notes on his blog that editions in other languages will be released in 2015. (Moyersoen uploaded a cover image of AMIGO's Saboteur: Das Duell to BGG in late 2014, but that title is not among those AMIGO has announced for release in early 2015.) Moyersoen notes that Saboteur: Het Duel was "primarily designed as a solitaire game with a two-player variant. For commercial reasons, it has been packaged as a two-player game with a solitaire variant." No matter how you play, though, you want to tunnel through mines in search of as much gold as possible.

Board Game: BANG! The Valley of Shadows
Board Game: Dark Tales
• Italian publisher dV Giochi tells me that BANG! The Valley of Shadows, Dark Tales and Dark Tales: Snow White should be available in U.S. stores in March 2014, while its card game Hoshi Battle should be available in those stores by the end of January 2014.

• Designer Andrew Bond says that his game Extra! Extra! — first announced as Hold the Front Page in an October 2013 BGGN post — is moving toward publication in Q2 2015 from Mayfair Games, and he's planning to drip out information from now until then on his "Shaken, not stirred" BGG blog, starting with a partial image of one of the three game boards in the release.

(I'll note in passing that three of the five games included in that BGGN post were due in 2014 but have not yet been released: Extra! Extra!, Fool's Gold, and Spirits of the Rice Paddy. Not sure whether that means anything, but there it is.)
