New Game Round-up: Kim Satô Goes from Goblins to Dragons, Police Preview, 3D Go & Escape on Kickstarter
Board Game Publisher: Moonster Games
Kim Satô's Gosu series of games might be over (at least for now) with the release of Gosu: Kamakor in early 2012, but French publisher Moonster Games has another title coming from Satô in September 2012. Here's a brief description of RYŪ, with "ryū" being one Japanese word for "dragon":

Quote:
In a galaxy far far away, there is a planetary system composed of a great big sun and nine minor planets, four of which have been developed as mercantile planets more or less under the control of politicians and guilds. On each of these planets are a merchant guild, a guild of smugglers, a bazaar and the galactic government, and players can take special actions on each of these planets.

In RYŪ, players each represent one of the other five planets in this star system, with each planet having a different type of humanoid and its own unique influences. These planets are open to prospecting, and with the proper financing players will be able to dig the resources they need to build their own RYŪ, a mother ship composed of "Rare Metal", "Memory Stone", and "Amber Magic". Once assembled, the RYŪ comes to life as a living spaceship, and its owner wins the game.
According to the game announcement on the Moonster Games website, the origin story for ryū resembles the way that players will need to construct their space ship during the game.

Board Game: Texas Zombies
• Oh, and speaking of Gosu, Moonster Games' Texas Zombies – which I posted about the other day on BGG News – will include a Gosu "extended art" card as a bonus item. Not sure how useful this card would be without rules on it, but that's not my concern, is it?

• German publisher Pegasus Spiele has picked up Sebastian Bleasdale's On The Cards – which debuted at Spiel 2011 from Surprised Stare Games – and plans to release it in 2012 as Auf die Nuss. (Edited, Mar. 7: Please ignore this item – I interpreted Pegasus' minimalistic catalog description incorrectly. This is a new game from Bleasdale.)

• Dutch publisher The Game Master BV is launching a new "Smart & Fun" game line in May 2012 with the release of Match Point, a puzzle-ish tile-laying game for 1-6 players, with different levels of play for ages 7+ and 10+.

Board Game: Escape: The Curse of the Temple
• German publisher Queen Games has launched its first Kickstarter campaign, with Escape...from the Temple Curse being the game in question. Queen's owner Rajive Gupta notes on BGG, "We have many, many releases to catch up on, so Kickstarter is our way of bringing great games like Escape to you sooner." (KS link)

Portal has revealed all the units forthcoming in Neuroshima Hex! Steel Police on its website.

• Spanish publisher nestorgames has released Cameron Browne's Margo, previously available only via online play, in two 6x6 versions: a functional base with plastic marbles and a laser-cut dense plastic board with 72 "phenolic resin" balls. Margo is essentially a 3D version of Go with pieces on upper levels being able to cut off freedoms and lead to captures that otherwise wouldn't be possible.
