Lamonts Hit the Snow Once Again with Mush! Mush!

Lamonts Hit the Snow Once Again with Mush! Mush!
Board Game Publisher: Fragor Games
• The game announcement from Gordon and Fraser Lamont, who publish under the brand Fragor Games, is widely anticipated each year, partly because the print run is reserved quickly and if you don't react fast, you could find yourself on the waiting list, and partly because you never know what to expect from these Scottish brothers.

For 2013, though, you do have some idea of what to expect because the Lamonts are revisting the theme and gameplay of their 2008 release Snow Tails. Here's an overview of Mush! Mush! - Snow Tails 2, which the Lamonts plan to release at Spiel 2013 in October:

Quote:
No brakes. No speed limits. Just husky racing at its most extreme.

Gordon and Fraser Lamont say that Snow Tails was their favorite design of the past decade, so in celebration they've decided to revisit husky racing with Mush! Mush! - Snow Tails 2, a fast-playing follow up to Snow Tails that allows you to dive in for a single race or compete over a three-route championship – the choice is yours!

Mush! Mush! includes a massive oversized board with multiple tracks on both sides, new bonus movement, four polyresin buildings, proper scale model trees with bases, no brakes (as advertised above!) and less math, and gameplay that fits up to eight at the table – you and seven losers. Now hop on the sled and get moving!
As they've done in years past, the Lamonts are taking preorders for pick-up at Spiel 2013; you can also have copies shipped to Europe, Canada, Australia, and the U.S. After problems getting Spellbound out to those who preordered, the Lamonts promise in a press release: "Distribution is in place this year and will happen much quicker than last year. Posted games should be with you before Christmas. Due to extreme postal costs, it does not make sense to post elsewhere, so we are no longer taking preorders outside those territories – sorry!" To preorder at a price of €50, write to [email protected] and in the subject line include "Essen" or the country to be shipped to along with the number of copies, e.g., US 2 copies or Essen 3 copies.

The Lamonts close their press release with the following: "Thanks to the gaming community for ten great years. Thank you for your support, your kind words, and your enthusiasm for our designs."
