Help Choose the Cover for Boardgame Designer's Marketplace
My wife Linda and I are working on an e-book (Kindle and PDF) called Boardgame Designer's Marketplace. If you're familiar with the Writer's Market series of books, this is the same idea: A directory of hundreds of boardgame publishers with information on what they're looking for, how they pay, and how to pitch your game designs to them. The book will include publishers of all kinds of games — Euro games, wargames, family games, card games, and more — from all over the world. Linda already has a contractor working on building the database, and it's getting big! (Plus, I'll finally have a real database of contacts for use during convention season. It's about time!)

We commissioned a cover designer to create three covers for us, and we'd love to get your input on which one works best. Keep in mind that this book is aimed not only at serious boardgamers and those who want to design for them, but all those people who come up to me and say, "Hey, I have this great idea for an educational game on coral reefs. Where can I send it?" So the cover needs to convey the concept of "board games" in a clear way everyone will get.

Also, feel free to suggest changes you feel would make any of the designs better. Linda did this with her most recent e-book, and her readers' suggestions helped the designer tweak the best cover until it was perfect.

To make this easy, we'll call the covers "pawns", "yellow", and "dice". Linda and I each have our favorites, but we won't reveal what those are just yet. Thanks so much for your input; we look forward to seeing which cover gets the most votes!
