• Despite German publisher Lookout Games not having a stand at Spielwarenmesse, designer Robert Auerochs came to the fair to show off and explain his Bremerhaven, due out in mid-2013.


Board Game: Via Appia
• Anyone looking for the next funky game mechanism a la the gears in Tzolk'in should take a look at this overview of Michael Feldkötter's Via Appia, coming in the first half of 2013 from Queen Games.


Board Game: Kingdom Builder: Crossroads
• Queen Games also showed off Donald X. Vaccarino's Kingdom Builder: Crossroads, another expansion for the 2012 Spiel des Jahres winner that adds new bits and new options to the game.
