The game invites 2-6 players to run around Barcelona taking pictures of the locations proposed by judges of a photography contest, but these judges don't care about the quality of your shots. No, they just want you to hustle around the city at their whim, rewarding whichever one of took the most shots of locations and landmarks. Quantity is what matters here!
The city is divided into eight regions, with 10-12 locations in each region and a card for each location. Four locations are revealed as "judges' picks", and as players land on those locations on the board, they claim that card, then a new one is revealed. You can "walk" up to two spaces each turn or burn one of your movement cards to move 3-6 spaces, ideally edging someone out for a desired shot, but you don't refill your hand of movement cards until you land on an information point, so if you're careless, you might strand yourself on the street for a few times until you recharge.
Eight landmark locations are on the board, with each bearing fewer tiles than the number of players so that you can fight to claim before other players do. That said, I've played seven times on a review copy from Cucafera Games, and they seem to matter more in the advance game as that set-up forces you to take pics of specific locations so that your photographs will be worth any points — and sometimes it's worth sloughing off travel to pick up landmark shots instead.
