I hadn't noticed earlier, but one designer name mostly missing from the SPIEL 2016 Preview is Reiner Knizia, with frequent publishing partner Ravensburger having only a handful of new titles due out in the latter half of 2016 and KOSMOS having a rather short list of its own as well.

One SPIEL 2016 release that does have his name on it is actually a reprint of a decade-old title that few modern gamers have probably seen: Fruit Spy from Hong Kong-based publisher Jolly Thinkers. This design is typical of modern Knizia, with the rules and components being barely there and all of the game resulting from the conflict that emerges anyway, despite those few starting elements.
