Board Game: Pairs
In my preview post about AbluXXen, a few people noted that it would be easy to mock up a copy on your own to test out the game. I hadn't done so (as I had received a published copy before thinking about doing so), but I did mock up the card game Pairs from James Ernest and Paul Peterson as Ernest practically begged you to do so on the Pairs page on his Cheapass Games website. (That page also has a print-and-play version of the game should you be more ambitious than someone who reconfigures Bicycle decks but less ambitious than someone who creates her own version from scratch.)

In any case, I've now played the game a bunch and describe it below:
