From China to Hyborea to Duckburg Without Leaving Your Tabletop
Board Game: War of Three Kingdoms: The Card Game
S7 Games, formerly known as Shinobi 7, has announced an adaptation of the 2005 SEGA card/arcade/board game Sangokushi Taisen, with this new design — War of Three Kingdoms: The Card Game — scheduled to debut on October 18, 2019. Here's an overview of the setting and gameplay:

Quote:
War of Three Kingdoms: The Card Game takes place during a legendary period in history in which the kingdoms of Wei, Shu, and Wu openly warred for control of ancient China. Now you have the chance to build your chosen kingdom by strategically selecting the heroic generals and tactics that will comprise your deck and lead you to victory over your rivals.

War of Three Kingdoms: The Card Game includes three fully playable factions, comprised of three hundred cards, and each player controls one of these factions and constructs their own deck to wage war against one another for dominion over ancient China.
Okay, that's not much in terms of gameplay. Be assured, though, that you won't need to bring your cards to the arcade in order to play the game, as was the case with Sangokushi Taisen...

Board Game: Conan: Savage Legends
• Also, I had published a post in May 2019 about Shinobi 7 acquiring a licensing deal for tabletop games based on Robert E. Howard's Conan. The resulting game is Conan: Savage Legends, with this 2-4 player game being an arena combat game that hits Kickstarter on July 16, 2019. Here's a quick take on the setting:

Quote:
Conan: Savage Legends takes place in Conan's Hyborean Age after the ancient necromancer, Xaltotun, shatters the walls of time and space, stranding heroes and villains alike together in Hyborea. You take on the role of a mighty legend, gather your warband, and go forth to battle other legends torn from space and time. Take command of your forces, gather magical artifacts, acquire power, and remind your foes why you deserve the title of legend.
Steve Jackson Games and The OP are combining forces (and licenses) once again to munchkinize yet another part of our shared cultural landscape. Munchkin: Disney DuckTales, due out in 2019, combines the familiar gameplay of Munchkin with the familiar heroes and villains from Duckburg.
