Five Vampire: The Masquerade Games for Your Tabletop

Five Vampire: The Masquerade Games for Your Tabletop
Board Game: Vampire: The Masquerade – Blood Feud
I worked in game stores from 1991 to 1993, and the release of Vampire: The Masquerade during that time had a huge impact on the RPG audience, with the books presenting a setting and having a look unlike anything else. Amazingly enough, Vampire: The Masquerade is still having an impact on today's game market, thanks to the release of the game's fifth edition in 2018 and an increasing wave of tabletop implementations of the game.

Benjamin Kanelos' Vampire: The Masquerade – Blood Feud, which Everything Epic Games is crowdfunding through Nov. 26, 2019 (KS link), might be the RPGiest of these releases, with the game being for 4-32 players who belong to different warring clans and with 1-2 storytellers overseeing everything as the game plays out over multiple tables in a 2-3 hour playing period.

Board Game: Vampire: The Masquerade – Vendetta
Vampire: The Masquerade – Vendetta is a bluffing-based area control game from designers Charlie Cleveland and Bruno Faidutti and publisher Horrible Guild (formerly Horrible Games). We recorded an overview of the game — in a yet unfinished form — at Spielwarenmesse in Feb. 2019 and Horrible demoed the game at Gen Con 2019 and SPIEL '19 ahead of a release at an unknown date (instead of in 2019 as currently noted on the BGG game page).

Board Game: Vampire: The Masquerade – Heritage
• Another former 2019 release that will likely see print in 2020 is Vampire: The Masquerade – Heritage, a quick-playing, card-based legacy game from Babis Giannios and Nice Game Publishing in which you live through seven hundred years of vampiric and human history, trying to shape it to your favor while your character changes throughout this time, with you recording those changes on the cards in your deck. We had recorded an overview with a prototype version of the game at SPIEL '18:

Vampire: The Masquerade – CHAPTERS from designers Thomas Filippi and Gary Paitre and Canadian publisher Flyos Games is one of two V:TM tabletop titles that I've just learned about, with this being a 1-4 player campaign game set in Montreal with miniatures, sealed scenarios that players need to unlock, and no game master needed.

• Finally, we come to the title that started me down this path, a title announced during Gen Con 2019 that I only just discovered while starting my end-of-year inbox cleanout: Vampire: The Masquerade – The Expandable Card Game, which Renegade Game Studios will debut at Gen Con 2020 in partnership with White Wolf Entertainment and Paradox Interactive. Here's the only description released to date: "Vampire: The Masquerade – The Expandable Card Game will offer tabletop gamers a new way to experience the intrigue and politics of Kindred society, as well as the hunger pangs of The Beast within."

At least I think that's the only description released. I'm still catching up on things...
