BGG's Chad Krizan (aka chaddyboy_2000) was in Berlin, Germany on Monday, July 9 when the 2012 Spiel des Jahres – Donald X. Vaccarino's Kingdom Builder from Queen Games – and the Kennerspiel des Jahres – Inka and Markus Brand's Village from eggertspiele – were announced, and he was able to speak with representatives of both publishers – Queen's Rajive Gupta and eggertspiele's Alfred Victor Schulz – about their reactions to the awards and what's coming from them in the future.
