Hide, hunt, and outmaneuver across a ravaged land as one player stalks from the shadows while others race to track and stop him.
Hunt the Ravager is an asymmetric, card-driven game of hidden movement set in a mythic feudal Japan. One side controls the Ravager, a vengeful samurai spirit moving unseen across the land, while the opposing side controls hunters racing to locate him before devastation spreads too far.
Each round, the Ravager secretly moves using cards, destroying locations and attempting to recover imperial treasures. His exact position remains hidden, leaving only clues, destruction, and partial information behind. Every action pressures the hunters while pushing the Ravager closer to victory.
The hunters, acting openly on the board, coordinate movement, use abilities, and interpret the Ravager’s trail. They must balance protecting key locations, guarding treasures, and tightening the net around an enemy they cannot directly see.
The Ravager thrives on misdirection and timing—striking where hunters are weakest and slipping away before they can respond. The hunters rely on deduction, positioning, and cooperation to predict movement and force confrontations.
End Game & Victory Conditions
The game ends when one side reaches its victory threshold:
The Ravager wins by scoring enough points through land destruction and successfully returning treasures to his hidden lair.
The Hunters win by locating and confronting the Ravager enough times to prevent his plans and limit the damage to the Empress’ lands.
