A famous but rare game, I was told about 'Pike in the Carp Pool' when I first got into German games. It involves the food chain in the carp-pond; the carp eat the snails, the pike eat the carp. Players have the creatures as wooden pieces in their color and move them around the pond and stack them as they dine, or get them into safe 'nests'.
