Librarians coordinate to save classic literature from destruction.

As Trainee Librarians of the Literary Canon Conservatoire, you were under explicit instruction not to touch the “Recent Arrivals” crate. Instructions someone failed to follow.
Now you and the other Trainee Librarians have one measly vat of PLOT GLUE and however long a Senior Auditor takes for lunch to fix the mess you’ve made. Using your ingenuity and talents you’ll have to work together to save these classic books. Paste in characters that at least appear to fit, without losing too many characters and books in your slapdash gluing fiesta, and you might just save the day!
Fauxlio is a fully cooperative game for 1-4 players. You and the other players are Trainee Librarians. Your goal is to sparingly use your PLOT GLUE to fill books with characters that can take on the roles of the missing (that is, they match at least 1 of the original's roles) before the books become too gummed up with the residual glue of wandering characters.
When a book's character spots are all filled, it is complete. You read aloud its summary using the substituted characters, receive a glue rebate, and file the volume on the Bookshelf.
Each turn, you spill glue from the reserve onto the books remaining on the table. If you have to place glue in the last space of a book, that book is destroyed, and its glue is removed from the game.
The game ends in one of two ways. If you fill the Bookshelf, everyone wins. If you reach a point where you cannot add glue from the vat when needed, everyone loses.
