This is a party game with a Mafia theme that combines play-acting with a Prohibition-era trivia game. The box includes eight character cards, a deck of 48 trivia question and answer cards, party invitations and envelopes with "an offer you can't refuse", menu cards, a background booklet that includes recipes for the menu dishes and even a CD of appropriate music. The dinner allegedly takes place at Scarpato's Restaurant on Coney Island in 1931.
The character cards include Al Capone and his ardently churchgoing wife Mae, along with Meyer Lansky and his new, skinny, pregnant and naïve Italian bride Anna Citron. Each of these cards includes characteristics, background information and suggested topics to guide play: Mae is violently allergic to dust, while Anna speaks only broken English and thinks words like "mob" and "burial" are management talk from her consultant husband.
Like many party games, the primary goal is mutual amusement and there are no specific rules for winning. Clearly the person answering the most trivia questions correctly could be declared a winner of that activity, and there might be a vote on best character acting.
